During our initial consultation, Sureshine will provide detailed suggestions on how you can get the most from your stone restoration investment. The usual suggestions are as follows:

  1. Dust mop, sweep, and/or vacuum your floors often to remove dust and debris.
  2. Keep a bottle of the appropriate stone cleaner on hand to spot clean spills, drips, and other problems.
  3. Mop your floors only as necessary to remove soiling.
  4. When mopping is necessary, use enough water so that it will not dry before you are able to use your towel to dry the floor.
  5. Do not allow water to dry on the floor. The object is to see the dirt on the towel.
  6. When maintaining your floors, think of them as a glass window. Apply a cleaner and completely remove the residues to insure a clean surface.

Marble Counter Polishing in Los Gatos, CA:

Most homeowners have marble bathroom counters. Recently, marble has become much more prevalent on kitchen counter surfaces. Marble can etch, scratch, and some marble will stain. On the positive side, marble is also a very sanitary surface with fewer pores than granite. This quality has made marble, especially honed marble, a suitable choice for baking and other culinary pursuits. Because marble is reactive to acid etching, polished marble will show the unsightly spots from liquid drip marks. When these spots build-up it is time to call Sureshine.

Marble Shower in after polishing

A marble shower is both an investment in money and time. You have chosen a beautiful polished surface for your shower and now will need to take the time to keep it looking its best. But how do you get the most out of your investment and avoid the inevitable visit from Sureshine?

  1. Marble is a crystal and should be squeegeed after every shower to prevent hard water deposits and soap from building up on the surface.
  2. Use only marble approved stone care products. The most costly mistake is when the wrong cleaner is used on your marble shower causing the need for expensive restoration.
  3. Keep an eye on the grout or sealant around the perimeter. You want to keep water out of your shower pan. Anytime you see a crack in the grout it should be patched as soon as possible. Call Sureshine for a quote on this.
  4. Periodically use bleach or your favorite anti-mildew stone cleaner in the corners and wet areas of your shower.

In the event that your shower becomes hard to clean, you see a build-up, or by mistake the wrong cleaner is used, call Sureshine. We will make your shower look like new again.
